Iron Foam

Iron foam is an isotropic highly porous metallic material, typically 60-98% of the volume consisting of void spaces. And it has the characteristics of light weight, good flexibility, large porosity, and good stability making it an ideal material in waste-water treatment, catalysis, water splitting, and battery research.

Special Properties

• Sound absorption—porous structure has a wide frequency absorption characteristic.
• Sound insulation—high sound absorption plate can be made by drilling closed cell iron foam plate.
• Electronic wave shielding—about 90dB electronic wave shielding.
• Fire resistance—difficult to burn under high temperature, and with good weather resistance.
• With good air permeability and filtration function.
• With high temperature resistance (above 1100℃), and uniform pore structure.
